The Rainy Season

"What day is today?" the teacher asks.
"Today is October 16, 2017.
It is a cloudy day.
The sun is covered by the clouds," answers the students who are able to attend the flag ceremony at such an early 7 o'clock morning of a Monday.

This is nothing new, this has been happening in every day of the week, from Monday to Friday, on the same uncovered ground of the school. Students can only be thankful for a cloudy day. At least, they are not going to be exposed once again to the scorching heat of the sun. In fact, the exposure to the excessive heat over the sunny season serves as the punishment of those students who are not able to wake up early and attend the flag raising ceremony. How cruel! But of course, this is one way that schools can think of as to disciplining students to actually wake up early so that they wouldn't miss the ceremony. However, as this may affect the students to the extent of developing a skin burn, are the schools giving the right punishment? I think not.

It is the rainy season. The students can only be thankful for it. They do not have to wake up as early as usual for the flag ceremony, they do not have to fall in line for the sake of it, they do not have to answer the repetitive question of the same "What day is today?". They just have to be early enough for their first period in class. They just have to be early enough to have some chitchats with their friends at school. They just have to be early enough to spend some time with their lovers. Other students may feel the urge to come to school at such an early hour to somehow copy the assignments that have been assigned to them during the previous meeting. Let's face it, these acts are happening. Let's face it, we need to have some developmental programs to help those students.

It is the rainy season. It is the rainy season and, admit it, getting out of bed is as hard as solving math problems at school. It might even be as hard as keeping in mind the many rules of grammar and their exceptions as well, as those are definitely crucial too. And, for what it's worth, getting out of bed may even be as challenging as balancing an equation in Chemistry. If you, as an adult, are actually nodding your head yes right now or having your thumbs for every little thing stated, or even lauding the author for being this accurate, then you should definitely consider those students  who are also feeling the same thing as you do, and even worse as they only have little knowledge than what you already have.

It is the rainy season, the sun is covered by the clouds. It is the rainy season, you should be able to understand. Yes, it may be difficult for the students to wake up early for their class. Thus, you need to encourage them without lifting a finger, nor nagging at them like you'are not just an inch apart. Especially, it is an early morning happening, that is just the last thing that they ever wanted. I am always having an urge to ask, why not uplift their souls instead? Why not give them an inspiring push for the improvement of their morning routine rather than giving them an early morning sermon session that they definitely do not need nor ever will?

As a matter of fact, you are only causing yourself to have the destructive goiter and even push your students away from you too. You are only increasing their affective filter, which is definitely not a great way of teaching the students their lesson.

It is the rainy season, why not uplift their souls instead? It is the rainy season, how could you not understand that positivity is what they actually need? It is the rainy season, and I have reached the conclusion. It is the rainy season, it would be best if you formulate a legit decision. It is the rainy season, you should establish an effective and well thought of solution!

Not a Sunny Sunday

The sun is considered a heavenly body. Apparently, we have a day in a week named Sunday. And, we should take into consideration that most Christians and members of other denominations, at that, worship God on a Sunday. In fact, it is believed by many that doing so while being a good Samaritan can lead a believer to heaven, with eternal peace. So we are bound to have a heavenly Sunday. But perhaps, not a sunny Sunday. Dark clouds are looming in the skies above us. Of course, we definitely cannot say that the sun ceased to exist. It is still there. Just being covered by the clouds. Thus, it may not be a sunny Sunday. But, be at peace! It surely has its advantages. You can go out and have your outdoor adventures without having to feel like you are being roasted alive. With a Sunday that is not as sunny, you can do almost anything under the looming dark clouds. Although, you need to make sure that you are ready for the rain at any moment of the day. This way, you will be a...
